ANA HARTWICK
Unlike Jimmy, I and my twin sister were born and raised here in beautiful Del Norte County. My parents came over from Portugal in 1969 and my father got a job at Reservation Ranch and quickly went into a supervisory position. He now works for the city of Crescent City as an equipment operator. My sister and I both worked in the office at Reservation Ranch starting when we were 12 years old.
I am married to William (Billy) Hartwick, the principal of Crescent Elk School. We are blessed to have two beautiful children, a son, 4 yrs old and a daughter 9 yrs old. I love Del Norte County and find it a delight to be in real estate, helping people find their dreams it this land of beaches, rivers, redwood forests and mountains. Through my many acquaintances and friends, I have a very successful referral system. Jimmy was my mentor when I entered real estate and I now am a very good resource for him because of my activities and knowledge of the internet and trends in real estate. We are a very good team and we can help you and give you the best of service. His 30 years of experience and my day to day experience and success as a top producer.

JIMMY CSUTORAS
Everyone who lives in beautiful Del Norte County lives here for a reason. They might be born and raised here or they may have migrated here as I did. I live here for the fabulous Smith River, one of the two most pure rivers in the United States. I fish, I fish a lot but I love rivers, the way they change with the seasons, the way they wind around creating deep holes, runs and riffles.
I left the Petaluma, Santa Rosa area, wintered here on the Smith and fished the whole 1970 to 71 steelhead season. I then bought a farm in Oregon and wintered on the Smith from December 1 through April 15, guiding fisher people and teaching them how to fish and catch fish.
I moved here full time in December of 1978, settling in Hiouchi in a home bordering Jed Smith Redwood park which separated the land from the river. Therefore, in essence, it was river front. My father now lives in the home that I first bought in Hiouchi. Today, I still live on the river, just in another spot. I’ve been in my present home for over 20 years and we garden, swim in the river in summer and fish behind the house in winter when the river is high. It’s paradise for my wife and I and you would have to remove us kicking and screaming. In other words “we’re very happy in our home”. I started selling real estate in July of 1979. Almost 30 years ago. It’s been good for me and I’ve enjoyed putting people into there dream homes or acquiring the perfect piece of property to build on or just to play on. I’ve also helped a lot of people by investment properties, business opportunities and second homes.
My wife’s name is Athena and she is definitely my goddess. There seems to be few things she can not do or accomplish. She gardens, cans the fruits and vegetables of the garden, the salmon I catch. She is an accomplished seamstress, knows tools and how to use them (my week point), she does pottery and so much more. Like I said, she is my goddess. Athena is the director of North Coast Children’s Services (head start, early head start) in Del Norte County, has accreditation to teach other teachers and early childhood providers and in her mid 50’s decided to obtain her Masters degree. As of this writing, she is only 9 units away.
