Camping or staying in lodging here gives you the opportunity to see and camp among the most beautiful Redwoods in California. You will be able to camp among the Redwoods, surrounded by many varieties of ferns, tangling moss, and you will even find camping on the Smith River. Definitely, while camping, you will want to spend time hiking, rafting, fishing, checking out the deer, elk, raccoons and the other wildlife typical of our area. But remember to take time to view the nearby beaches, harbor and golf courses or you will have missed much of Del Norte Counties life.

If you are into geology, you will excited about the raw geology of the Klamath Range available to you here in Del Norte. Find a book about the local geology. You will find that our geology is facinating. Scientist say our local Klamath Mountain Range was once attached to the great Sierra Nevada Range and has broken loose, shifted hundreds of miles, creating an incredible coastal mountain range for your enjoyment.
